In this triptych I examine the notion of ‘home’ when one feels pulled towards several places, experiences, and people to define the very concept. My artistic practice is made up of trace monotypes, a hand-printing process that creates unique one-offs. The pressure of a utensil tracing reference images pushes underlying ink onto paper. I begin these works digitally, constructing my references, and progress to ink on washi (Japanese paper).
